The Kenya Wheelchair Service Trainers Network (KWSTN) brings together wheelchair service trainers across Kenya to strengthen training quality, collaboration, and professional development. The network supports the sharing of expertise, standardised training approaches, and continuous improvement of wheelchair services nationwide.

Physiotherapist | Assistive Technology Coordinator | Certified Wheelchair Service Provider | Certified Clinical Instructor
Eudia supports persons with disabilities to access appropriate assistive technology and wheelchair services that promote mobility, independence, and inclusion. Her work includes strengthening referral pathways, building the capacity of service providers, and supporting person-centred service delivery. She is passionate about improving access to quality wheelchair services and empowering communities and professionals to provide effective support. Her motivation comes from seeing appropriate assistive technology improve independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Marygoretti Kilonzo
Programs Manager- Hope Mobility Kenya
With over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Mary is passionate about improving quality of life through holistic mobility and rehabilitation services. Her experience includes physical assessments, corrective mobility devices, and supporting long-term recovery. Driven by faith and a commitment to community advocacy, she believes appropriate rehabilitation can challenge stigma and restore independence, dignity, and hope.

With over five years of experience in assistive technology and wheelchair services, he combines clinical expertise in prosthetics and orthotics with programme management, training, and capacity building. His work includes basic and intermediate wheelchair service provision, as well as referral, screening, and follow-up. As a WHO Wheelchair Service Training Package Trainer of Trainers, he is passionate about strengthening the capacity of rehabilitation professionals and improving access to quality, person-centred services. He is motivated by enabling people with disabilities to achieve greater independence and participate fully in their communities.

Orthopaedic Technologist/ Wheelchair service Coordinator/Programs manager
With over 10 years of experience, Ponplaus is committed to improving access to appropriate assistive technology and quality wheelchair services. His work includes wheelchair service provision, training and mentorship, with experience facilitating training in Kenya and internationally. He is passionate about strengthening wheelchair service systems and building the capacity of service providers to deliver safe, person-centred support. He is motivated by seeing how an appropriately prescribed and fitted wheelchair can improve mobility, independence, health, and participation in everyday life.
DAVID ONDERI OGARO
WHEELCHAIR TECHNOLOGIST
With over two decades of experience in wheelchair services, assistive technology, and rehabilitation, David has extensive expertise in wheelchair assessment, prescription, production, and quality assurance. His work also includes training and mentoring service providers, supported by WHO training in Basic and Intermediate Wheelchair Service Training Packages. He is passionate about strengthening the quality of wheelchair services and ensuring people receive appropriate, person-centred support. He is motivated by seeing how appropriate wheelchair provision can enhance mobility, independence, dignity, and participation.
John Kinuthia
Mechanical Engineer
John Kinuthia is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in wheelchair design, fabrication, production, repair, and maintenance. Over the past five years, he has focused on developing and improving wheelchairs and mobility solutions, supporting users with appropriate, functional, and sustainable assistive devices. His expertise includes technical assessment, customization, prototyping, quality control, workshop processes, and training technicians in wheelchair repair and maintenance. He also provides technical support during wheelchair service delivery and outreach activities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. His engineering background further strengthens his ability to develop innovative, safe, durable, and user-centred mobility solutions that promote independence and improved quality of life
Consolata Mwabu Kariungi

Consolata has over 10 years of experience in wheelchair services, community-based rehabilitation and inclusive development, with a strong focus on wheelchair provision and posture management. Her work spans training, mentorship, capacity building, and collaboration with government and development partners to strengthen quality, person-centred wheelchair services. Her contribution to inclusive mobility was recognised with the RI Global Award in 2023. She is passionate about seeing wheelchair users gain independence and dignity, while equipping service providers with the skills to deliver safe and appropriate wheelchair services.
